| Hospital Security |
In recent years, the security in Britain's hospitals has raised many questions. S2G’s hospital security service understands that the sheer volume of patients and staff passing through a hospital has resulted in challenging scenarios when attempting to monitor the movement of patients and visitors, despite most hospitals being equipped with CCTV cameras.
Casualty departments are continually the most vulnerable areas, as they are accepting patients, some fuelled by drink or drugs, all hours of the day and night.
S2G’s hospital security service understands that public access to hospitals should be directed to specific entrances which can be monitored by security personnel. Also, in times of civil disobedience, terrorism or disaster, security officers must have the ability to quickly lock down the hospital.
The hospital main lobby, emergency department will remain open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. However, entrances such as the hospital north lobby and courtyard entrances are normally locked after 7pm, with access only gained by waving an ID badge in front of the card reader. Therefore, this technology allows the security team to monitor staff entering the hospital by name, area, date, and time of day.
S2G’s hospital security service will implement similar enhanced security systems for other similar places such as the operating theatre, maternity ward, and clinical laboratory.
A list of our hospital services include:
- Reception duties
- Check and issue of ID cards
- Fire prevention
- Health and safety
- Building checks
- Theft prevention
- Daily incident reports
- Lost and found services
- Alarm and CCTV monitoring
- Car park patrols
- Information services to visitors
- Monitoring the reception area, accident and emergency department, and entrances to the maternity ward
- Enforce management rules
S2G will endeavour to maintain the highest level of security without compromising the very nature of the hospital, which must be open and allow people to move freely around the site. |
